Charlottes work is crossing over from fashion to costume for film and stage. Her garments are made for people and protagonists in movement and action on the run. Fascinated by historic and ethnic patternmaking she creates contemporary pieces with a timeless and relaxed style. The garments are defined through architectural volumes and sculptural silhouettes and gives the wearer a strong, confident and independent attitude.
Charlotte studied design 5 years at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK). There she attended the class of Vivienne Westwood for 3 years. During her studies, she worked for the tailoring departments at the Oslo Opera as well as the Komische Oper Berlin and for Vivienne Westwood in London. Her Diploma was presented at the Tempelhof Airport Berlin where she was asked by the label Chloè to work for them in Paris. Returning from France, she was granted scholarships by the "Norwegian Government Grants for Artists" and the "Oslo Kvinnlige Handelsstands Forenings Stiftelse". After 11 years in Berlin and many items sold through her label HØYEM she now works independent for the norwegian broadcast and different film & stage productions in Oslo.
